Middle School Philosophy & Approach
At Wakefield, middle school isn't just a phase; it's a pivotal time of personal and intellectual development.
A shy sixth-grader boldly steps on stage for the first time. A curious seventh-grader discovers a newfound passion for the equestrian sport. Eighth-graders rise to assume leadership of the Middle School Community Council.
Every day, inside and outside of our classrooms, our Middle School students are taking academic, social, and extracurricular risks in a safe and encouraging environment. This dynamic setting nurtures students to emerge as well-rounded, confident, and ethical leaders – poised to take on bigger challenges ahead.
Our educators play a crucial role in students' lives, addressing diverse learning styles and offering social and emotional support. We encourage autonomy and empathy, honing in on their unique inquisitiveness and independence.
