This summer, Wakefield is offering seven weeks of engaging summer programming and camps in Northern Virginia for students aged 4 years old through rising 12th graders.
Our offerings include a mix of on-campus and live virtual options, featuring Summer Camps, Academic Courses for credit, Enrichment and Bridgework Classes, and Academic Tutoring.

Summer Camps
Join us on campus for a summer of discovery and fun! Wakefield's half- and full-day camps offer something for everyone, with programs in art, theater, science, nature, STEAM, athletics, literature, and outdoor adventure. Guided by experienced and dedicated instructors, campers will explore their interests in small, dynamic groups, all while following current health and safety protocols.
Enrichment and Bridgework Courses
Daily, two-week classes are designed to enrich, teach, and foster academic readiness for rising 6th through 8th graders. Topics include math and English bridgework, as well as an executive functioning class to help students develop and enhance their organizational skills.
Academic Tutoring
This summer, Wakefield is partnering with local tutoring companies—Atypical Learning and Vint Hill—to provide high-quality, on-campus academic tutoring for students from 4 years old through 12th grade.
Wakefield will also offer on-campus academic tutoring with our seasoned faculty and staff for students from 4 years old through 12th grade.
Open to everyone
Wakefield's Summer Programs are open to the public and offer a wonderful introduction to our campus and community for new students or anyone interested in experiencing the Wakefield Way. Our camps are led by caring, responsible members of our teaching staff and other education-focused businesses. |
